Good afternoon, Sir!
First, I would like to thank you for your assistance throughout this project. You have been a great help and we would still be in a bind if it wasn’t for your help. Second, could you send me an example of how to set up contacts in the SAAS? Our SAAS operator might need some assistance doing that. Also, could you courtesy copy SSG Robinson? He could find this information helpful for future reference. Thank you once again.

Mr. Diaz, I want to thank you for your diligence professionalism, and friendship I’m not sure where I would be at this point if not for your help so I am internally grateful. I have explained as best I could to my replacement SFC Havens information about the SAAS MOD and remaining connectivity issues... He is pretty knowledgeable with the SAAS MOD as he works these systems and PBUSE back home...I believe it will be a short matter of time before all issues are resolved there. I have followed your recommendation as all my body of work will be going home with me as well as documents there in my files. Again, I want to wish you the best in your continued stay in Kuwait and your future endeavors...you are truly outstanding in the job that you perform. I will continue to stay in touch from time to time. Thanks Again Best Wishes to you...

To whom it may concern,
Mr. Diaz gave me one on one instructions on the SASMOD on short notice. He spent four hours breaking down how to set up and configure the client and the server. He also went over how reporting procedures work and which machines report to higher. I used to be a CSSAMO and I worked with SAMS, PUBUSE, MC4s, and SARSS but never really had any experiences with the SAAS MOD. Nonetheless, Mr. Diaz was willing to work with me and educate me on the SAAS MOD. After sitting through his one-on-one session, I have realized how thorough he is and how much of an expert he is on the SAAS MOD. He is indeed an asset to this Theatre and I would highly recommend you to continue to use his talents in this area. I was able to go to the ASD (ASP) and see that the systems were not exactly set up the right way. I am very grateful that Mr. Diaz is teaching the 230th SASMO team on SASMODs. As a result of his instructions, 230th will be able to fix any current or future problems that will exist here. Thank You, Mr. Diaz!! I do appreciate what you are doing here. If I could, I would give you a pay raise but that is beyond me.
Thanks,

Mr. Diaz and Mr. Deitrich,
I contacted Mr. Diaz on the 21st of November 2011 to assist the 24th Ordnance Company at Adder/Iraq ASP. The reason for my contact with Mr. Diaz was to provide me with assistance in the removal of old document numbers and negative quantities from our SAAS‐MOD system. It enabled us to clear the WARS account and close down the last remaining ASP in Iraq. Mr. Diaz's response and resolution time were excellent. I contacted Mr. Diaz around 1100 hours and he immediately solved my problem by 1200 hours. His knowledge and competence for the field is superior, the best I have ever worked with. I want to thank Mr. Diaz for his professionalism and willingness to help. My overall experience was very satisfying.

Mr. Diaz became a great asset to our mission in AFGHANISTAN. He assisted Chief Wiezorek (AMMO TECH) in accomplishing a goal never accomplished since 2004 with the SAAS-Mod systems (to my knowledge). Together they were able to successfully open communication lines with the SAAS-MOD systems in Kuwait and through the Theater of AFGHANISTAN. The systems were finally communicating data that assist us to support the War Fighter. Mr. Diaz became extremely vital as the progress of linking comms SAAS-MOD systems and assisting users/operators throughout the Theater of AFGHAN became a near-time goal. He was professional in all aspects of dealing with civilians and green suitors became very apparent on a daily basis. It has been my privilege in working with Mr. Diaz when he was my Soldier under my command (2001-2005). He has become a SME in this field and system and one of the keys to the mission of the JSA-A Munitions Branch executing operations at Kandahar, Afghanistan.
SFC Martin J. Urrutia, JSC-A 4th ESC SPO Munitions Branch
Mr. Diaz SAAS help desk is always a big help when it comes to our SAAS-Mod operation. The much-needed assistance is a comfort to myself and my SAAS operator when issues arise. The service is definitely a plus to the daily Class V operation in Afghanistan.

Allan Diaz is a force multiplier. I had the pleasure of working with Allan while I was deployed forward to manage the acquisition, reception and distribution of munitions throughout the CENTCOM Area of Operations. Allan's knowledge and expertise in Class V management and distribution played a key role in the success of my unit and more importantly, the safe and timely distribution of munitions to the "war fighters" in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). Allan's knowledge of SAAS-MOD and Information Technology makes him a winner. Allan is a highly motivated individual and always "does the right thing". I would have Allan on my team, no matter what the mission. Allan Diaz will dramatically increase the effectiveness of any team.

Very knowledgeable SASMO. Definitely, a needed staple to service any SASMO issues. His knowledge of the system (SAAS-MOD) was second to none. Was aware of the system process and took time out of walking me through the troubleshooting process to teach me what is actually going on and ensure that I understand it. Have never had a better service call as a SASMO, I hope and look forward to working with him on future SASMO troubleshooting requests.

Mr. Diaz, Allan spent ample time (minimum three hours) by phone assisting ASP 61 Sinai, Egypt in properly installing/transferring a new computer on 16 MAY 2013. While completing this grisly task, Mr. Diaz stayed calm, patient, and professional while sharing and showing his great knowledge of the Standard Army Ammunition System. The system may not have been up and running in such a timely manner without Mr. Diaz's help. However, who would think within days ASP 61 would have another issue. Myself having little knowledge of the system turned to Mr. Diaz for guidance. Mr. Diaz yet again acted in a swift professional manner to ensure the system was running properly and communicating with all key counterparts.
SSG William Reynolds, AMMO NCO, 1SB, ASP 61, Sinai, Egypt
24 June 2013; The ASP at Camp Buehring was without the ability to communicate. Communication is a vital part of the mission here at the ASP for Camp Buehring. The ASP had been unable to complete the cycle of transactions. All unit-level troubleshooting was conducted with no resolution. The helpdesk at SECLEE was advised to provide support for my system and after a series of tests, the ASP still had no solution after 3 days of working with the helpdesk from SECLEE in Virginia. Mr. Diaz was notified and began to work on finding a resolution. Mr. Diaz was provided the same information in order to troubleshoot the system himself on the SAAS system here at Buehring and was able to resolve my problem once he visited the site. Mr. Diaz resolved the issue within a couple of hours, while the help desk had been going on their fourth day in search of an answer. Mr. Diaz prompt response enabled me to continue the mission without further interruption which would have occurred if I had waited on SECLEE to continue. It was important in this case for Mr. Diaz to be on the ground and within proximity, to provide better service, without Mr. Diaz on the ground I would not have succeeded.
CW2 Jose A. Rodriguez, 266th OD Det
Mr. Diaz's ability to help my SASMO section and our SPO Ammo section understand the capabilities and limitations of the SAAS-MOD server and clients were excellent. His teaching style of starting at the beginning, showing different errors that can happen on the way to the end is the best in my professional opinion. He has empowered my section to be able to troubleshoot and take care of end-user errors. Mr. Diaz is extremely professional and very willing to take the time to answer all questions. He uses many different examples to ensure the Soldiers understand.
CW2 Michael Brigante, S6/ SASMO/COMSEC/ Tactical Comms OIC, 371st SB
Mr. Diaz went beyond just setting up our server and laptops. He provided insight and training on the steps he took. He encouraged hands-on and gave advice on lessons learned.
SFC Larry Chandler, SASMO NCOIC, 371st SB
Mr. Diaz knowledge of the SAAS database I believe would best serve in an Ordnance community such as Ft. Lee, or any school where 89A/B are trained. His knowledge with SAAS-Mod and SAAS applications is substantially greater than what I've learned at Red Stone and BNCOC Ft. Lee. The knowledge I've gained has made my job more manageable in relation to acquiring DATA for meetings, and the Accountable Officer. The three-day class which was conducted from 6 thru 8 August was very rewarding for my section. Mr. Diaz, further took time away from a day off to continue our training on how to use the Oracle Browsers, this training took an entire day which allowed the students to build and understand how Browsers can aid in the management of ammunition. The only issue which I foresee is the inability of my section to continue to learn and grow from Mr. Diaz's experience because the SAAS 'refresher' course is only offered twice a year. With the pending drawdown of Afghanistan, STAMIS Classes such as this should be offered monthly to facilitate the sustainment units. This training will ensure either contractors and or military personnel are managing the SAAS database correctly.

I credit Ron Deitrich and Allan Diaz with organizing, implementing, and networking a system that was in total disarray while teaching and supporting US Army personnel that were fully unqualified to implement that system. Most importantly, having never worked with the ULLS-A(E) program, these two made themselves familiar before arriving in country so as to hasten the processes and reduce the impact on aviation maintenance and flight operations. They were humble in addressing their inexperience and used all available assets to quickly provide a product that is essential to the Multinational Force and Observer's mission in support of United Nations' treaty oversight in the Sinai. I will not hesitate to request their assistance in the future.

Mr. Diaz was very courteous during the whole installation process and very timely in returning phone calls and emails after the installation while dealing with trouble shooting communication problems that arose. Mr. Diaz is extremely knowledgeable in SAAS-MOD. I'm currently stationed in Afghanistan; he always makes time to help with any of our SAAS-MOD issues. He even takes time to explain the concepts which have helped me as the battalion SASMO become more effective in my position. Mr. Diaz has allowed me to gain knowledge outside of the classroom environment. Even to this day, if I have an issue I cannot resolve or don't understand, I can always and do rely on Mr. Diaz. On another note, Mr. Diaz still carries the "one team, one fight" idea which is a characteristic that is lacking today. He is always willing and able to help especially for us still in Afghanistan.

Mr. Diaz has been an exceptional asset to us here in UAE. We are a National Guard unit deployed here that has never operated an ASP before. We received no prior training in the operation of SAAS MOD and TAMIS. We fell in on a system that at least 3 units before us had been using incorrectly. TAMIS could not communicate with the SAAS unit, making it impossible to populate TAMIS-generated documents for issue. Mr. Diaz has been available and willing to assist any and every time we have contacted him. He is a very knowledgeable person. Mr. Diaz, Allan, responded to KAF ASP problem with SAAS-MOD as a security update TR-10.15 left 3 client laptops on SAAS-MOD IN-Operable. The clients were not able to connect to the database. Mr. Diaz was working on the problem first thing in the morning, checking the host and client. He remotely enters our network and ensured that hosts and clients did not have issues. After further troubleshooting, Mr. Diaz had found the root cause of the problem, which was that the workstations (clients) were connected to this server by using the Oracle RA filter. Causing the clients to be blocked from the network. He was able to remove/unrestricted it from the RA filter. Mr. Diaz's expedited response to KAF ASP troubles with SAAS-MOD, assisted the ASP operations to be back up and running within 3 hours from his remote location. Without the assistance of Mr. Diaz Kuwait SASMO, the KAF ASP would have impacted the units in TAAC-S from receiving ammunition in a timely manner with the Workstations OOS. Due to his expertise and rapid response, KAF ASP had no impact on the TAAC-S mission. What a great asset to the U.S Forces Mr. Diaz is. Thanks for the great service, Mr. Diaz provides.

Since July 2012, I have been working with Mr. Allan Diaz on a daily basis and would like to compliment him on his immediate attention to all of my ARCENT overdue source and missing batch requests involving the World-wide Army Report System (WARS). When situations arise, he is thorough in contacting all involved personnel and persistent in following up, thus resulting in uninterrupted processing of transactions. His work ethic should be commended for timely responses and assisting with providing accurate ammunition reporting.

I have known Mr. Allan Diaz for a few years now. He has to be the most educated and well-versed in SAAS- MOD of anyone I have ever met. His knowledge and experience in SAAS-MOD are irreplaceable. I have called or emailed him numerous times while on this deployment, and he has been more than accommodating in solving issues in SAAS-MOD to include TAMIS. Valuable Asset!

Diaz as a contractor and a former Service Member. He understands his customer's needs and prioritizes well to ensure that all issues and concerns and answered and fixed in a timely manner to ensure that everyone's mission continues effectively. There is truly no match that I know of to the detail of his explanation of issues, to help avoid the problem in the future, and his creativity in delivery, to help leave a lasting impression of the fix to a problem and the ability to pass the information along to following forces or others that have a similar problem.

Mr. Diaz is professional and very knowledgeable. I can pick up the phone or email him anytime with a question or problem and get the resolution to my problem or question. I would like to thank you for all the support you have provided for me and the Stock Control section here at Camp Arifjan ASP.
CIV Russell Langnehs, Leidos ASP/TSA
The service provided by Mr. Diaz is exceptional, he is always willing to go the extra mile and put in the extra effort to make sure the areas and personnel he supports are able to fulfill their mission of supporting the warfighter. On many occasions over two different deployments, he provided services after hours, on weekends, and whenever needed to bring supported systems back to the ready state. He assisted my operations in 2015-2016 by finding me the parts and materials to update my operation to have backup power supplies and a backup server when all other means of obtaining these items had failed. The knowledge that he passed on to the members of the ammunition community helped many of us become better technicians in our fields. The products that he manufactured to assist us in updating software, fixing issues with communications, and setting up SAAS-MOD systems are exceptional products and were of great value as training aids to pass on to other Soldiers.

Having worked with Allan has been a wonderful experience, to say the least. He had the professional skillset, merged with the focus of a soldier. He possesses those skills and the empathy to see the issue on all sides. If you want a cyber professional who can lean into systems, networks, or forensics, then look no further!
